Los Cabos (The Capes) is the area at the very end of the Baja California peninsula. The isolated fishing camps that a few years ago catered to a handful of visitors who came in their own planes or yachts, are now among the luxury hotels that dot the coast around the two towns: San Jose del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas. The Los Cabos area has in recent years become a golfers’ mecca, offering seven deluxe courses to choose from; fishing is another big lure for Los Cabos. Many of the Cabo San Lucas hotels have their own fishing fleets; the primary quarry of the offshore cruiser fleet is marlin. With a vibrant nightlife, excellent shopping, water sports, Los Cabos has many choices of several activities. Los Cabos is legendary for surfers from all over the world and shopping malls offers an abundance of international designer boutiques. |
